Feedback: Time to Start Getting It

I fly more than 125,000 miles a year, stay in plenty of hotels, drive rental cars, and eat in too many restaurants, but one thing is a constant. They always ask me for “feedback.” How was your stay? How can we improve our service? Yet, when I visit schools, working with leadership teams, sharing strategies with teachers, and observing classes, feedback is seldom discussed, especially student feedback! This presentation discusses what we are learning about feedback and the use of qualitative data in the education community. Data collection tools and strategies are shared to help educators get started in using feedback to improve learning.
